Bahar Is Targeted to Shake the Struggle of the People, According to Lawyers

Kolom Media. The attorney for lecturer Bahar bin Smith, Sugito Atmo Pawiro, suspects that his client is a figure targeted in the snare of cases of persecution to destabilize the people's struggle.
According to him, this can be seen in the process of investigating the alleged cases of abuse allegedly carried out by Bahar against two people with the initials MHU (17) and ABJ (18) in Tajul Alawiyyin Islamic Boarding School in Pabuaran, Kemang District, Bogor Regency, West Java

"My analysis is that Bahar is aiming for shots that are right on target, when there is an error, it is blown up so greatly to destabilize the people's struggle," Sugito said
Sugito admitted that the acts of persecution carried out by Bahar were categorized as vigilante and could not be justified in the life of the state.

However, he continued, the mistreatment carried out by his clients occurred not without cause and was impossible if the law was fair.
"All this will also not happen if the law runs fairly, there cannot be a result without a cause," he said.

Sugito explained, the persecution began with an alleged fraud allegedly committed by two people initials MHU (17) and ABJ (18) on behalf of themselves as Bahar.

According to him, MHU and ABU uploaded a number of videos showing inappropriate behavior by a religious person such as smoking, driving a car with feet, and asking for money from a number of people.

Unfortunately, continued Sugituo, the action that caused Bahar's bad image was never followed up by the police, even though his party had reported the incident repeatedly.

"The investigation has revealed that these two fraudsters have been repeatedly reported by those concerned (Bahar), but there is also no action from the authorities, even though the act of cheating and defaming someone's reputation is a crime," he said.

Sugito added, this blunt legal attitude caused Bahar to finally take on vigilante acts. He also questioned the location of justice because two fraudsters who triggered vigilante acts were not processed by law until now.

"Where justice when the trigger for vigilante acts is free, even though they are also criminals who commit fraud. Like there are thieves hit by citizens, those who beat up are arrested while their thieves are released. Which law justifies this?" he said.

Karopenmas of the National Police Public Relations Division Brigadier General Dedi Prasetyo previously stated that Bahar was an intellectual actor in the case of persecution that took place at the Tajul Alawiyyin Islamic Boarding School in Pabuaran.
Bahar allegedly initiated the entire process of persecution, from picking up to mistreatment of victims who had the initials MHU (17) and ABJ (18).

Dedi also conveyed, Bahar carried out acts of mistreatment of the two victims in a number of locations including in boarding schools, open fields, and in cars.
"In this criminal incident, he (Bahar bin Smith) was an intellectual actor," Dedi said at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta on Wednesday.

On that basis, said the one star general, the investigator ensnared Bahar bin Smith with a layered article namely Article 170 and Article 351 of the Criminal Code and Article 80 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection.
