Hashim Reveals Prabowo's Strategy That Will Make RI Economy Rise 10%
IdNasional. Presidential Candidate Number 2 Prabowo Subianto plans to boost Indonesia's economy to grow by 10%. This will be done if Prabowo is elected President of the Republic of Indonesia.
The Prabowo-Sandi Success Team Hashim Djojohadikusumo said it would empower damaged forests. Because, currently Indonesia has 88 million hectares (ha) of forest damaged.
"One of the things that has been developed is the empowerment of damaged forests, which are now being damaged by the state's burden of 88 million hectares, so it will not be used," he explained
It will manage forest empowerment by 70% of the 88 million ha of damaged forest. Meanwhile, the rest is peat land that cannot be empowered.
"Later we will empower the allocation of most of that and what is suitable is 70% because we cannot use peat soils," he added.
He said the abandoned forest was a valuable asset to support Indonesia's economic growth.
"That is an extraordinary asset because we have proven our pilot project, we can empower the damaged forests," he said.
The 88 million ha of land can open jobs if empowered to the maximum extent possible. At present, unfortunately the government has not maximized the potential of forests to boost the economy.
"We can create jobs if we extrapolate (forests) because 88 million ha, according to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, we mostly use, that's one of the things the Indonesian government hasn't used, that's one of the real examples," he concluded.
